I will tell you that starting up a new, home-based, on-line business is not for sissies!!!! So much time has been spent on registrations, licenses, website building (most frustrating) and product/market research (not to mention keeping all the user names and passwords straight). However, just because it is frustrating does not mean I will be giving up! FAR FROM IT. The frustration will fuel and re-fuel my energy levels to make it work - and make it work successfully.

My challenge right now is copying and pasting from the company website's catalog to my own pages for the bamboo products. I have made an agreement with a Texas company to sell golf shirts, men's and women's bathrobes and towel sets made from 100% bamboo or 70% bamboo and 30% cotton. I have ordered some of the towels to try, and I expect them to be fantastic. I have a bamboo shirt that I got last year, and I LOVE it.

Properties of bamboo are its lightness, absorbency, anti-microbial properties and the fact that it will not stick to your skin, even when it is hot.

Today I have an appointment with my website mentor via telephone. I am hoping that he can get me on the right track with the product posting. The merchant/checkout page will be up very soon, also. Keep watching www.greenflashdesigns.com.

Have a great day! Colleen

Renewable/Green Products 03/01/2010

What is "Green Flash?"
What are renewable/green products?
What products are carried at www.greenflashdesigns.com?

Our new business, Green Flash Designs, LLC is an on-line store front: www.greenflashdesigns.com., for original artwork by Colleen K. Howe, PSA, (pastel and oil paintings) giclee prints of these paintings, cards, calendars and workshop listings for Colleen's landscape painting teaching schedule. Art supplies related to pastel and oil painting will also be featured in the store.

Also in the store will be hand-crafted creations such as sketch books, jewelry, clothing, handbags, etc., mostly made from recycled materials.

"Renewable" is a term for raw materials that are easily/quickly grown or replaced and are earth friendly (not leaving a "footprint" behind. Examples are bamboo, hemp, recycled paper, and others, as we discover them.

We encourage you to do your personal/gift shopping from the products at www.greenflashdesigns.com! You will be doing our earth a favor, support individual artisans, and you will love the quality and service we provide.

The "green flash" is a momentary effect only seen as the sun goes down over an ocean. Have you seen it? We would love to hear about your experience if you have!

Sincerely, Your Friends at Green Flash Designs, LLC
